Amalia Freels, age 101, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2008 at home with her family by her side; beloved wife of the late August; loving mother of Eleanor Barrett, Joseph Sr., and the late John Sr.; cherished grandmother of Eleanor Kepp, Cheri (William) Bryant, John Jr. (Lynn), Jill Hjelmgren, Tom (Felicia) Barrett, Joy (Bobby) Driskill, Joe Jr. (Michelle), Megan and Molly; devoted great-grandmother of 18; and great-great-grandmother of five; dear aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.
