IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna “Bogumiła”
Mojek
March 24, 1950 – April 22, 2022
Anna "Bogumiła" Mojek, age 72, passed away April 22, 2022, after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
She was born in Poland on March 24, 1950 the daughter of the late Helenaand Stanisław Mojek. At the young age of 20, she came to the United States. Despite all the odds, she learned the English language, became a citizen, learned a trade, and went on to be a successful entrepreneur owning several beauty salons and restaurants in Chicago and Florida. She was a woman of many skills; she could sing, dance, draw, and had a green thumb that could make any plant grow from a seed or clipping in even the worst conditions. There was always a hot meal prepared by her at every family gathering that was made to perfection and if someone needed their hair done after a delicious dinner, she was willing to accommodate that as well. She lit up the room with her smile and she captivated the attention of all with her quick wit. She was a stunningly beautiful woman with a heart filled with love for all those she encountered. Her faith in God was unwavering and inspiring. Helping everyone was her calling, from animals to strangers to friends, she was a source of support for others. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren. She gave them the gift of how to bake, cook, pray, garden, and love others. Nobody could ever come up with such cute jokes and unique phrases the way she did. Despite the many losses and struggles in her life, she continued to fight her illness with dignity and courage. To say she was a force of pure
strength is an understatement.
She is now reunited in heaven with her daughter Eva Maria and her son Dariusz, parents Helena and Stanislaw,
brothers Jurek and Leszek, and her late husbands Zdzisław and Michael.
She is survived by her daughters Delilah (Mark) Edwards, and Crystal (Mark) Oehlers; her Grandchildren Anthony, Michael, Isabella, Lana,
RP, and Juuse; her Brother Gregory (Jamie) Mojek Sr., nephews Gregory Jr, Christopher, Mariusz, and Rick, and sister-in-laws Maria and Anna.
