Obituary

Annie Vicens, 75, loving mother of Jose, Annette (Matt), Eric (Laura), and the late Lisette; cherished grandma of Amanda, Amber, Abby, Oliver, Vanessa, Chloe, Jayden, Eliana, and upcoming triplet boys; great-grandma of Camila; devoted sister of Gladys, Johnnie, and the late Carmen.

Annie was a beacon of selflessness and love, with an unwavering commitment to putting family first. Her children were the center of her universe, and she spared no effort to ensure their happiness and well-being. Annie's love knew no bounds, and she would willingly sacrifice anything and everything for the ones she held dear. With an overwhelming passionate love for children, Annie often declared "I'll take as many [grandkids] as I can get!". Her home was a haven of love, safety, laughter, and support, a testament to her belief that family was not only a priority but the very essence of a fulfilling life.

In a world where gender roles often defined professional paths, Annie fearlessly entered and excelled in male-dominated fields. Her integrity, tenacity, and unyielding work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Annie's accomplishments were not just personal triumphs but also a testament to her belief in strong education and hard work. She often gave words of motivation and encouragement to her children and grandchildren. "Be all that you can be!; Education is everything.; A little hard work goes a long way.; You can do anything!" Annie not only talked the talk but modeled excellence to her family.

Beyond her professional life, Annie had a zest for joyous moments and celebration. She was everyone's best cheerleader and she especially had an affinity for dancing, particularly to the vibrant rhythms of Salsa and Merengue music. Her infectious enthusiasm on the dance floor mirrored the vibrancy with which she approached life.

Annie's strong religious faith was an anchor that guided her through life's highs and lows. Her spirituality was not just a personal aspect of her life but a source of strength that radiated through her interactions with others. Annie always said "When God comes knocking. It's time for me to go." She didn't fear passing and welcomed God with open arms. With her place in heaven amongst family, she watches over her family in a beautiful way.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Father Scott Donahue for all his spiritual care and guidance for Annie and the family over the years. He helped bring peace to Annie in her final days.
