Bridgie Agnes Doorey, nee Neary, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, born in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, Ireland, grew up on a small farm there with sister, Margaret (Babs). A lover of animals and a good student, Bridgie married Jack Doorey at age 20. They bought a farm nearby Lurghan and had two sons there, John (1958) and James (1962). In 1963 they moved to Chicago then Forest Park. Jack got a job with the CTA and Bridgie had daughter Marie. Bridgie took a job as Machinist, eventually becoming a supervisor and retiring in 1989. She had a strong appreciation of the natural world and beauty of all sorts and most importantly, a sweet and gentle nature. In lieu of flowers, please donate to PAWS. Visitation Friday, March 30, from 4 pm to 9 pm, Funeral Prayers Saturday, March 31st at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave, Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am, St. Cornelius.
