Diane J. Salomon, 51, devoted daughter of Elizabeth and Andy Plata; cherished mother of Francesca, Dillon, and Gianna; treasured partner of Anthony Jones; and prized friend of many.

As a foodie, she received her culinary degree and loved making French cuisine for her family. Every dish she made was perfect, but a favorite among many was her steak au poivre. Diane's ultimate comfort food was the frites. Over the years she was able to travel to many countries in Europe like Sweden, Poland, Italy, and France. Stateside, Diane loved Laguna Beach, California. She planned a trip there with the kids and Tony and it was her favorite trip. Diane's kind nature, no-nonsense attitude, and motherly love will be missed deeply by family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Memorial service to begin at 12 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60630. Interment will be private.
