Dolores Murray

Dolores M. (Wilks) Murray, age 101, passed away peacefully at her home on January 13, 2026. She was born in Chicago on July 29, 1924.

Dolores was an incredible, strong, and deeply loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family defined her life and touched all who knew her. Though she will be profoundly missed, her love, stories, and memories will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Wilks; her second husband, Robert Murray; her son, Walter Wilks Jr.; her daughter, Susan Wilks; and her granddaughter, Lisa DeTrana.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Wilks) DeTrana; her grandson, Daniel DeTrana; her granddaughter, Cindy (DeTrana) Hiemenz, and her husband, Chris; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Nicole and Tyler Hiemenz.

Her legacy of love, strength, and family will continue through the generations she so dearly loved.

Saturday, January 17, 12:15 p.m., a Chapel Service will be held at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, immediately followed by interment.
