Florian Strycharz, age 68, of Chicago, Illinois. Florian passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his residence under the loving care of his family. He was born on December 19, 1947 in Poland; the son of Jan and Stefania (Wadowka) Strycharz. He was later united in marriage to Janina Jasionek on July 17, 1971.
Florian was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and it brought him great joy to spend time with his family. He enjoyed blueberry and mushroom picking as well as spending time with his family. He also loved helping others and playing cards.
He survived by his wife Janina; two daughters Ewelina (Marek) Makal and Elzbieta (Mariusz) Lomnicki; one son Radoslaw (Grazyna) Strycharz; six grandchildren Patrycja, Kamila, Sebastian, Jacob, Olivia and baby-to-be; two siblings in Poland Henryk (Regina) Strycharz and Emilia (Boleslaw) Zajac. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Eugeniusz Strycharz and Kazimierz Strycharz; one sister Alfreda Majocha.
Visitation Thursday, October 6, from 4 to 9 pm; funeral prayers Friday, October 7, 9:30 am at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago.
