Geraldine S. De Los Reyes

Geraldine S. De Los Reyes, 88, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, and now joins her beloved Joseph in eternal rest.

Geraldine was the beloved mother of the late Joseph Jr., Delores (Dionisio), Cheryl (Paul), and Gerald (Marilyn); caring grandma to Alexandra (David), Christine (Esvin), Jessica (Matthew), Ashley (Miguel), and Tanya; proud great-grandma of Grace, Eliana, Madison, Jordan, Noah, Elijah, and Cozette; cherished sister to Henrietta, Christine, and Henry Jr.; and a fond cousin and dear friend to many.

Geraldine was someone who knew how to enjoy life. She loved bowling, singing karaoke, going out to restaurants, and keeping up with all the day-to-day happenings of her family. She enjoyed knowing what everyone was doing and staying involved in the lives of those she loved.

She was also famously stubborn—a quality those closest to her knew well and will undoubtedly remember with a smile. Geraldine wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and her spirited personality was part of what made her so special. Whether she was singing a favorite song, enjoying a meal out, or simply spending time with family and friends, she had a way of making her presence known. Geraldine truly enjoyed being the life of the party.

Above all, Geraldine treasured her family. She leaves behind generations who will carry with them her love, her strong personality, her laughter, and countless memories of the times they shared.

Geraldine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is once again reunited with her beloved Joseph and those who went before her.
