Goldie Margaret Szuch (nee Koleszarik), died March 6, 2026, at the age of 95 in Chicago.
Goldie was born Dec. 14, 1930, as the youngest daughter of Hungarian immigrants Susan and Stephen Koleszarik Sr., and grew up in Central City, Pennsylvania. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, with her husband, Frank Szuch Sr., where they raised their children Diane and Frank Jr.
Goldie was a devout Catholic, putting her faith in God with each challenge and joy life brought her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, Susan and Stephen Koleszarik Sr.; her siblings Michael Koleszarik, Stephen Koleszarik Jr., Erma (Purdy) Westover and John (Lillian) Koleszarik; her husband Frank Szuch Sr.; and her son-in-law Robert Swade.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Swade, and her son, Frank (Mary) Szuch Jr.; her grandchildren Holly (Quinn) Thalheimer, Brian (Angela) Swade, Tim Swade and Susan (Colin Walker) Szuch; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Goldie.

Memorial gathering will take place, Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 4646 N.
