Irena Bysiek, 90, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Loving wife of the late Bruno; cherished mother to Ziggy (Halina), (the late) Casey (Sophie), Christine (Randy), Janina (Wilbert), Rose, proud grandmother to Tanya, Paul, Michael, Jennifer, and Jessica; adoring great grandmother to Enzo and Emma; loving feline mom to Ginger, Harley, and Grim.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister.

Irene enjoyed gardening, feeding the squirrels, and trying her luck at Bingo and other various gambling adventures. Other than returning home to Poland for family visits, Irene enjoyed staying close to home in the city she loved, Chicago. Occasionally she would head north to the family summer home in Michigan, where fishing, relaxing, barbecuing, and spending time with family were things she looked forward to.

Visitation, Monday, July 24, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Funeral Service Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave. Chicago, IL 60630, interment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
