Jeanette "Jan" S. Placzek, age 84, beloved wife of the late Edward; loving mom of Dennis (Esther) and Robert (Wanda); cherished grandma of Steven, Michelle, Thomas and Michael; dear sister of the late Rudy (Evelyn) Kupon; aunt to many. Jan was a lovely, sociable and compassionate person whose kindness and generosity was felt by those around her. She was a dear friend to many and those whose lives she touched will miss her dearly. Her love of music became an integral part of her life. She was a co-founder of the Pensionaires Polka Band who sang and played concertina.
