Jerry Lee Guy, 71, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband to Carol, his beloved wife of more than 52 years, Jerry was the proud father of Steven W. Guy and the cherished grandfather of three grandchildren. He was also a loving brother to three sisters and six brothers, and an uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Jerry worked for many years in the steel fabricating industry, where his strong work ethic and dedication shone through. Beyond his career, he was a down-to-earth man who was always ready to lend a hand. Whether it was helping someone move or pitching in on projects, family and friends knew they could always count on Jerry.

Fishing was one of his greatest joys. He especially loved casting a line along the riverbanks, recalling fond childhood memories of fishing the Fox River near his sister's home. Family camping trips brought out his playful side, with friendly competitions for the first fish, the biggest fish, or the most caught. After a long day outdoors, Jerry could always be found at the dinner table, enjoying card games with loved ones.

Jerry will be remembered as a true friend—kind, dependable, and quick to share a laugh. His humor, generosity, and love of fishing leave a legacy of cherished memories for all who were fortunate to know him.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60630 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, IL.
