Jorge A. Montes passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the age of 38. Jorge is predeceased by his father, Jose Montes. Jorge met his wife Nuvia 22 years ago in high school. Several years after high school, fate reunited Jorge and Nuvia and joined them in matrimony. Jorge is affectionately remembered by his wife Nuvia, his children George, Alejandro and Alexia; mother Victoria; sister Patricia, Marcela, Marianna and Leticia; and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Jorge was born in Michocan, Mexico to Jose and Victoria Montes. A graduate of Amundsen HS, he obtained his general electrician license with the goal of starting his own business. After several years of working carpentry and all aspects of home remodeling he realized his dream and opened his business. Jorge passed on his love of carpentry to his daughter Alexia, his sense of humor to his son George and his passion for knowledge to his son Alejandro. Jorge took pride in assisting his sons in sports, baseball and soccer. Jorge enjoyed history, crafting, reading and spending time with his family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22 from 4-9 P.M. Monday, May 23, please meet at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 4640 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago for 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial.
