Margaret Ottilie Strahle, was born 10/31/1926, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Chicago, IL.  Only child of Eugene Emil Strahle and Ottilie Anna Strahle (nee Schittenhelm; shortened to Helm).  Her parents came over to the USA from Germany in the early 1900's.

Baptized Easter Sunday, 04/17/1927, at Epiphany Church (Church of the Epiphany?), Chicago.

Married Harry Fred Weber, 06/22/1947, and lived in the Irving Park area of Chicago, then later to the Jefferson Park area.  Harry's parents also came over to the USA in the early 1900's.  Both of their parents lived close by.

Son Carl Herman born 06/03/1952.

Father Eugene died 06/11/1956.

Son Paul Eugene born 03/05/1957.

Mother Ottilie died 06/07/1991.

Husband Harry died 01/01/1998.

Margaret has many aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces in Germany and Switzerland, some whom have come to the states to visit.  She enjoyed showing the big city sights and cuisine.  Nephew Gerhard Brucker, and wife Renate, of Erlangen, Germany, have visited several times, and have continued to communicate with her regularly, especially with calls on her birthday and at Christmas, and sweet goodies shipped from Germany.

Her uncle Otto Helm, her mother's brother, and wife Paula, and son Otto, Jr, lived nearby.  In Margaret's mothers' later years, Margaret cared for her mom until her death in 1991, and also cared for cousin Otto, Jr until his death in 1994.

Margaret was mostly a homemaker, a great cook, and a tireless worker.  She did work for a time at the AT&T phone company as a telephone operator.  Later, she worked part time a children's nursery owned by one of her school hood friends.  Loved working in the yard, with her flowers, and even mowing the lawn and shoveling the snow.  She met bi-monthly with her Lake View High 'club girls'.

Margaret and Harry enjoyed getting together with Harry's brothers and their families, and also with Margaret's school hood friends and their families, including many, memorable vacations together with them, and many with just the two boys, too.

She enjoyed cat-sitting for family and friends when they took trips, so much so that her niece Shirley Canchola made her business cards, called 'Marge's Charges'.

An avid Cubs' fan, with fond memories of the pennant winning team of 1945, with Phil Cavarretta and Andy Pafko, and blessed, as we all were, to experience their 2016 World Series win.

She enjoyed the big family and friend's restaurant luncheon for her 80 th birthday, along with a cruise to Hawaii with family friends.  Also enjoyed the trip to Waikiki Beach with her sons and daughter-in-law for her 85 th birthday.

Especially fond of, and close to niece Victoria Bran and husband Gus, and daughters Carley and Lianna, Sharon Romack, Sue Korecky, and Kelly MacBlane, and every one of the members of the Wellhausen, Korecky, Romack, MacBlane, and Wisette families, in whom they all call her Aunt Margaret.

Margaret was a faithful member of the Lutheran church.  She served on the Altar Guild at Gladstone Park Lutheran Church, and then at United In Faith Lutheran Church when several churches combined.

All who knew her were blessed by her Christian faith, kindness, grace, hospitality, love, mercy, fellowship, and humor.  She always was thinking of others' needs, and always put others first before herself.  We her family have been so blessed by God for her, and especially God's exceptional mercy, grace, and favor these last 5 years.  We are so thankful for the family and many friends that have helped us and shown kindness.

She has run the race well, kept the faith to the end, a good and faithful steward, and now enters the Joy of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
