Maria Celedonia "Celia" DeLeon, age 94, passed away suddenly in Rogers, AR on January 17th 2024.   Born in Guatemala in 1929 Maria relocated to Chicago Illinois in 1968 with her husband Efrain DeLeon and three children, Luis, Byron and Juan DeLeon.  As a longtime employee of the Chicago school district, Maria worked tirelessly to provide for her family.  In 2019, Maria and her husband of 70 years Efrain DeLeon moved to Rogers, Arkansas to be near her son Juan and his wife Tracy DeLeon.

Maria is proceeded in death by her parents, many brothers and sisters and her son Luis DeLeon,   She is survived by her husband, Efrain DeLeon, her sister Mercedes, her brother Alberto her sons Juan DeLeon (Tracy DeLeon), their son Nicholas DeLeon and  Byron Deleon (Sonya DeLeon) and their son's Josef, Johnnie and Joshua DeLeon and  grandchildren Jason  DeLeon and Chelsea DeLeon.  Maria also had two beautiful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home at 4800 N Austin Avenue, Chicago IL to the time of Service 10:00 a.m.  A graveside internment will then take place at All Saints Cemetery Chapel at 700 N River Road in Des Plaines, IL.
