Maria Eleonor Sevilla, 49, loving daughter of Nenita and the late Jose Sevilla; cherished sister of Jannette (Evaristo) Alperto, Dominic (Ellen) Sevilla, and Alexis (Michelle) Sevilla; devoted aunt of Joseph (Angela) Alperto, Kimberly (John) Alperto-Ho, Justin Alperto, Kaye Marie Sevilla, Kristelle Allyssa Sevilla and Sean Sevilla; great-aunt of Chloe, Mia, Sophia, Kaela, Alonzo, and Juancho; treasured niece, cousin, and friend of many.

Maria was a passionate traveler who found magic in every corner of the globe. A true lover of nature, Maria found peace in the outdoors. Her favorite moments were the simple ones: picnics at Montrose Beach with a gentle breeze in the air and the sound of waves nearby. She had a gift for turning an ordinary day into something memorable — especially when it involved good food. Sharing a meal with family and friends was one of her greatest joys, and she approached every bite as an experience to be savored. Christmas was Maria's favorite time of year. She delighted in the lights, music, and traditions that came with the season, but most of all, she cherished the opportunity to bring people together. She will be deeply missed by many.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a chapel service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60630.

The funeral service will be on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with procession to Maryhill Cemetery for interment.
