Obituary

Prost, Marilyn L., nee: Blaige. Beloved wife of Gregory. Loving mother of Audrey Prost (Michael) D'Amico and Christopher (Michelle Oeser) Prost. Cherished grandmother of Mac and Elliot. Devoted Grand Mar of Carl and Roxie Bella. Loving sister of Linda (Scott) Justin, Thomas (Esther) Blaige, Judy (Kevin) Ball and the late Richard Blaige. Dear sister in law of Judy Blaige.

Marilyn was born in Chicago on November 9th, 1949 as the eldest child of Raymond Blaige and Dr. Henrietta (Sacha) Blaige (Ed.D). After attending Immaculata High School and the College of St. Teresa, Marilyn began her career in Chicago Public Schools. A dedicated educator, she taught and tutored throughout the city for over four decades, touching the lives of numerous students before finishing her career at her local school, Oriole Park. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gregory Prost. Together, over 46 years, they built a great family.

Relatives, friends, co-workers, and students all recognized how deeply Marilyn cared for others. As the oldest of five children, she was known for her maternal empathy, kindness, and good nature — affectionately known by family members as "Queen Bee" or "Queen Marlene". We have all been, and will continue to be blessed by her quick wit, kind smile, and cheery disposition.

Marilyn enjoyed sharing stories and spending time with friends, family, and neighbors. She loved great food and relaxing at the pool or on the beach. We are appreciative of the great memories and one of a kind experiences we had with her which will not be forgotten.
