Mary Beth Mulkern, 68, loving wife of the late Mike for 18 wonderful years; devoted mother of Elizabeth and Margaret; cherished sister of Kathy Krieman, Sharon Spena, Virginia Catanese (the late Lonnie), the late Dave Krieman (Marge), the late Bill Krieman, Sue Donat (Steve), and Tom Krieman (Karen); sister-in-law of John Mulkern, Roxanne Hillas (Pete), and Patricia Smigielski (Larry); treasured aunt of Jean Mrozek (Mark), Lori Sullivan, Michelle Kneip, Christine Spena, Catherine Johnson (Patrick), Michael Spena, Kimberly Spena, Will Krieman, Julie Krieman, Robert Donat, Jennifer Begovic (Emil), Andy Krieman (Tina), Alex Krieman, Stacie Smigielski, Christopher Hillas, and Matthew Hillas; loving great- aunt of many nieces and nephews; and honorary mother of Nina Marczyk (and countless others).

Mary was known for her green thumb, decorating for holidays, watching the Cubs, and love of 1960s music like The Monkees, Barry Manilow, John Denver, and the Carpenters (in which she always remarked how Karen Carpenter left us too soon). She found a certain peace while being outdoors, whether in her own backyard or on a road trip with her daughters to some of our many national parks. She was a woman of strong conviction, spirituality, and inner strength. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family and friends.

Visitation, Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL. Funeral Prayers Friday, November 17, 2023 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Robert Bellarmine for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
