It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Mary Ann Pellegrino, 75, of Chicago IL, on November 8th, 2025. Mary Ann was born March 28th, 1950 to Daniel and Vivian Pellegrino of Chicago IL. She was her parent's most precious blessing and was raised around love and unforgettable memories. She Attended Steinmetz high school and then continued her education at Loyola University and then at DePaul where she received her Master's degree. She adopted two girls as a selfless act of love to provide them with opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have had. She was deeply loved by her two daughters Margarita and Heydi. Mary Ann was a published author and a successful Educator. Mary Ann was an educator for over 30 years and changed the life of many of her students. She approached her career with patience and determination to educate as many students as possible. She was a devoted teacher she took great pride in letting everyone know she was an educator. Mary Ann changed every life she touched her strength was only matched by her love. She was a brilliant and beautiful person who exceeded happiness. Her smile was infectious and genuine. She loved her family especially her grandchildren Daniel, Vivianna, Jayden, Angelo, and little Nadia. A loving caring and devoted mom and grandmother Mary Ann treasured every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. Mary Ann loved gardening, music, cooking, singing, coloring, art & crafts, writing letters, reading books, scrapbooking, hosting parties and was a devoted catholic. In even her hardest of times she never let her faith waiver. She was the best Mom, Friend, Teacher, Daughter and Person we've ever known.
Visitation, Thursday, November 13, 8:30 a.m. until closing prayers, 9:30 a.m., Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave. Chicago, Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., St. Constance Church, 5843 W. Strong St., Chicago, entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
