Morris Robert Tillman, 74 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus, Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born September 5, 1941 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Albert and Leona Tillman. He grew up in Missouri and proudly served in the U.S. Army. On April 9, 1983 he married Jayne Reed in Decatur, IL; in 1989 they relocated to Chicagoland and settled in Antioch in 1997. Morris worked with State Farm Insurance for 41 years, holding several different positions including his own agency. He truly enjoyed working; he also had a passion for his animals, including dogs, horses and cats. Morris had a special place in his heart for rescue animals and he was happiest at home with his own. Morris was a civil war buff and he enjoyed dining out, reading, playing racquetball and basketball, and early rock 'n' roll music, particularly Elvis Presley.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jayne; his in-laws, Robert and Lucille Reed of Sullivan, IL; his sister-in-law, Julie Brown; brother-in-law, David Brown; and nephews, Ryan and Ethan Brown.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Lawrence Funeral Home 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Memorial Service with Military Honors at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the veteran's charity organization or local animal rescue of your choice, in his memory.
