He married Joan Sypien on May 18, 1957, and celebrated sixty- five years of marriage. Norbert was a devoted father raising six children and worked two jobs most of his life to provide for his family. He sent his children to catholic school and made sure they went on yearly vacations which the family looked forward to. He lived life to the fullest enjoying many vacations with his family and friends. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life at his home in Arizona and Chicago, spending time with his wife, children, and many grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the casino, the movies or out to dinner with his wife and loved working in the yard. In his younger years, he had a passion for tennis and played in many tournaments winning many trophies. He was very talented and everything he did had to be precise which showed in all his drawings and sculptures he created.
