Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Krauleidis, passed away peacefully at Wauconda Care on the morning of February 7 th , 2023 after her hard-won battle with pulmonary fibrosis and congestive heart failure.

She was born to Eugene Migneault and Frances Troka, and grew up in the city of Chicago, raised by her mother, uncles, aunts, and grandmother alongside her dearest cousin Carol (Jack) Spidale.  The year Pat turned 7, Frances married Benedict "Benny" Olechny, a man Pat lovingly called Dad and cared for spanning 7 decades. As a young adult, she met Ernst "Ernie" Krauleidis, the self-proclaimed love of her life, who emigrated with his brothers to the United States from Lithuania during World War II.  Their love remained strong during his service in the United States military, and they later married. Pat became a loving mother to 3 boys: Steven, Richard (Deborah, Fiancée) and Michael (Brandee) Krauleidis.  After losing her husband, she met her longtime partner and companion Roger Meyer, and his 4 children: Julie Rossallini Coker, Brent Meyer, Amy Meyer Lovejoy and Kari Keith, whom she loved dearly.

Pat adopted her fur babies, Missy and Molly, whom she adored, and became a cherished grandmother of Maxwell Krauleidis in 2016. She is survived by her 3 sons, her grandson Max, her dear soul sister Carol, her half-brother Kenny Migneault, and her partner Roger.  She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles, her half-brother Michael Migneault, and her beloved husband.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and there wasn't a person she met that she didn't later call friend. Pat had an incredible zest for life, a ready smile, and knew how to have a great time.  Her infectious laughter could be heard quite often when she was surrounded by those she loved.  Pat enjoyed entertaining, and in her later years, this included using her dream cabin in northern Wisconsin. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  The family would like to thank all of you who befriended, assisted, and cared for Pat, especially the past few years.  A private inurnment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery will be held in the future.  In lieu of flowers, a donation in Pat's name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
