Shirley Martha Bristow, 90, passed away early morning Saturday, April 27, 2024, at her home with her children by her side, in Chicago, IL, where she was born and raised. Shirley struggled a long time and ultimately died from Dementia.
Born on June 1, 1933, she was the daughter of Robert and Erna Reinke and the sister of Werner Reinke. In Shirley's younger days she loved to go bowling, play golf, and kick up her heels dancing, any chance she could get. She will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, and kind mother, supporting her family and who always loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her partner: LaVerne Stahl, her children: Curtis and wife Kathy Schroeder, Chris Schroeder, Carrie Fender and husband Mike Larson, her grand-children: Ben and wife Carrie Stolarz, Allison Schroeder and partner Wess Davis-Warren, Sadie Schroeder, Dylan and wife Angie Schroeder, Amy and husband Sal Perez, Anthony Fender, Austin Fender and fiancee Mellisa Astbury, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and loved ones.
Visitation, 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service, 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave. Chicago, IL 60630. Annoucements for a luncheon will be made at the conclusion of the service.
Inurnment to be held privately at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery.
