IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley
Korzeniowski
July 8, 1933 – July 15, 2025
Stanley was born July 8, 1933 in Krakow, Poland to Roman and Klara Korzeniowski. At age 6, World War II broke out and the family was forced to move to Slovakia. In the early 1950's he graduated as a radio/electric technician from the Technology Institute in Wadowice. In his twenties, Stanley served in the Polish Army where he rose to a 3-Star Officer.
Later, while working as an electrician in Rabat, he met his future wife, Frances. In 1971, he toook the ocean liner, Stefan Batory from Poland to the United States. He lived with his sister, Urszula and her family until 1978, when he purchased his home that he lived in up until his passing. He was reunited with Frances in 1977 when she arrived in America, the following year, their son, Stanley Jr. was born. Two months after Stanley Jr.'s birth, their daughter, Eva, traveled from Poland to be reunited with her family.
Stanley worked as a machinist at Gould until 1981, then for ABDICK Co., retiring when the factory closed.
Stanley and Frances excitedly welcomed their first grandson, Andrew, in 2004, followed by Matthew in 2007, which to him, completed his family in total joy.
Stanley enjoyed spending time in the sun - he had a permanent tan his entire life. He often reminisced about his youth, thinking back to his motorcycle trips though the mountains of Bahia Gora. In his later years, he later spent many summers at his sisters cabin on Legend Lake. After his grandsons were born however, his weekends were spent on the shores of Lake Michigan, in Lake Forest.
Stanley was proud to be a "tinkerer" with all things mechanical, and helping others with any type of repair needs.
He now leaves behind his loving children, Eva (David, and Stanley Jr.; cherished grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; and beloved sister, Urszula; and nieces and nephews, all who will miss him dearly.
