Violet C. Pawluk, 95, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2022. She was the beloved aunt of Donna Bogle-Hoffman (Steve), Felicia Watts-Fox (Bill), Claudia Bellemare (Josh), and Henry L. Meyers (Darleen); great- aunt to Sophia Meyers Zabek (Kamil), Henry L. Meyers Jr., Saunia Bellemare, Ian Bellemare, Virginia Bogle, and Edward Bogle (Marissa).
Violet was a long-time employee at Columbus Hospital, from which she retired in 1987 at age 60. An avid roller skater in her youth, Violet after retirement took up golf and bowling with a passion. She joined several bowling leagues over the next 30+ years, winning numerous trophies and tournaments along the way in both sports. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Constance Catholic Church, where she attended primary school. She was also a lifelong resident of Jefferson Park in Chicago, residing in the same home for more than 70 years. In 1971, she married Jerry Pawluk, a doctor of psychology who passed away in the late 1980s.
Visitation, Friday, November 4, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Prayers, 11 a.m., at Lawrence Funeral Home 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago to St. Constance Church, Mass 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
