Wayne S. Marzec, 74, of Chicago, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. A beloved long-time partner to Dale Murawski, Wayne was a devoted father to Sarah (Erich) Rathmann and Tiffany (Keith Zimmerman) Marzec, and a proud grandfather, affectionately known as "Pa," to Jaxson, Charleigh, Travis, and Kole. Wayne was also a loving dog dad to Bunker, his loyal canine companion who brought him great comfort and joy. He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Julia Marzec.

Wayne's life was marked by his unwavering love for his family, friends, and his zest for life. After retiring from a career as a truck driver, he got to enjoy the road more often on two wheels rather than eighteen. He had a deep passion for motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidson, and was a true enthusiast who loved the open road. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, where the roar of the engines brought him excitement and a sense of connection to something he cherished.

Wayne was a fan of blues, rock, and live music, often seen enjoying his favorite tunes with a cold Blue Moon in hand. Sunday mornings Wayne and Dale could be heard riding down country roads with the noise of the Harley pipes and the polka music, a fond memory never forgotten.

Wayne was a friend to many, known for his kindness, loyalty, and infectious sense of humor. His presence and his laugh will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.

Visitation, Friday, February 21, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed immediately by a Service at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N. Austin Ave. Chicago, IL 60630. Interment to be held privately.

The family asks that for those coming to the funeral home, to please dress as if you were heading out to meet Wayne. Harley and NASCAR attire is welcome, but formal is NOT .
